Fish are also comfort lovers like us! They would like to take shelter in cooler spots with abundant food in summer or during hot, humid season. The cooler spots are much sought after by Bass (no different than us, wanting to sit under an umbrella, or in front on the TV, in an air-conditioned environment, trying to stay cool and enjoy our snack-foods!) and knowing these facts will help you in catching more fish.

You may be aware that lily pads provide thick cover and give shade from sun. You can look for such lily pads and you can find the Bass at the right depth. Like any other predator, Bass look for structure and hide-away or take cover and their lightning-fast speed and reflex enable them to take cover quickly as well as strike/attack/hit their ?prey? precisely.

The bass look for its food in rocks, flats, channels, deeper waters, drops, bluffs, weedy and shallow bays, hard bottoms, trees and/or other structures, and make all these as part of their moving patterns and habitat.

Bass also like to be in the vicinity of deeper water source and spend more time in the preferred spots.
